Lara Sobczak has been with Nexus for almost two years as the Director of Information Technology. Her responsibilities include data centers, infrastructure, applications, data analytics, cybersecurity, and IT operations.

She grew up in St. Charles, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, and now resides in southeastern Wisconsin with her husband and three children. She enjoys outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, four-wheeling, boating, and hot rodding in her free time.

Before joining Nexus, Lara spent half of her career in large global corporate positions and the other half in technology consulting. She holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Northern Illinois University, attended the Chicago CIO Institute, and served as a board member for the ITPC at the University of Wisconsin Parkside for several years.

Lara's favorite thing about her position at Nexus is the technology that she gets to research, select, implement, and support. Above all, Lara considers the people at Nexus to be her favorite thing about the company. She says joining the team has been the highlight of her career! Looking forward, Lara aims to help Nexus achieve its business goals and move forward in serving Nexus’ mission.
