KENOSHA, Wis. — Parkside Athletics and Nexus Pharmaceuticals are thrilled to announce a multi-year partnership in support of RangerVision 2020, Director of Athletics Andrew Gavin announced today. The partnership is highlighted by the creation of The Nexus Courtside Club and the launch of the Nexus Name-A-Seat Campaign.
Nexus Pharmaceuticals is a US-based healthcare company and certified diverse supplier that specializes in innovative processes to make difficult-to-manufacture specialty drugs that are easier to use, less labor intensive, and more streamlined in practice. Nexus is nearing completion on Phase I of Project Tomorrow – a $250 million high-tech manufacturing facility and the only project of its kind in the sterile injectable industry in the last 30 years, located in the Village of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Nexus not only is looking to give back to the community with this partnership with Parkside, but is also looking to employ 77 employees in the near future and over 400 long term at their new manufacturing facility.
“Nexus Pharmaceuticals is proud to collaborate with the University of Wisconsin – Parkside and to be a part of RangerVision 2020,” said Ayesha Ahmed, General Counsel of Nexus Pharmaceuticals. “This union represents our support and dedication to the development of the athletics and recreation facilities for all students.”
Parkside Partnership with Nexus
The Nexus Courtside Club will be created as the new courtside club in the renovated De Simone Gymnasium beginning in 2021-22. Nexus Pharmaceuticals’ brand and logo will be visible on the courtside chairs. Tickets and benefits for The Nexus Courtside Club will be announced in Summer 2021 as part of the Parkside Athletics ticketing options.
The Nexus Name-A-Seat Campaign begins on Monday, May 24 and will run through July 31. Fans, alumni, and donors can donate $500 to name a chairback seat in De Simone Gymnasium ($750 to name two seats). To show their support of RangerVision 2020, Nexus Pharmaceuticals will match every seat donation during the campaign, up to $25,000, in support of the De Simone Gymnasium Enhancement.
“Improving our UW-Parkside facilities through the power of our partnerships has always been a strategic goal for us,” said UW-Parkside Chancellor Debbie Ford. “That’s why we’re excited to have Nexus on board – this partnership will add to our RangerVision legacy, enhance our student and athletics experience, and broader our community involvement through the Name-A-Seat Campaign. It’s a great day to be a Ranger!”
As a generous supporter to RangerVision 2020, Nexus Pharmaceuticals will be recognized as a RangerVision 2020 Community Champion and become a member of the Parkside Athletics Partnership Program.
“We’re thrilled to begin this relationship with Nexus Pharmaceuticals,” Gavin said. “This mutually-beneficial and impactful partnership intentionally supports our goals with the RangerVision 2020 campaign and De Simone Gymnasium Enhancement. As Nexus Pharmaceuticals arrives in Kenosha County as our new neighbors, we’re excited to support their goals and help increase their brand and visibility on our campus and in the community.”
